Porter’s Chapel Academy baseball improved to 7-2 on the year after stomping Sharkey-Issaquena 17-0 on Tuesday.

Walks and errors helped PCA go up 3-0 in the first inning. The Eagles turned on a switch in the second inning where they added 11 runs as Conley Johnston, John Wyatt Massey(2), and Brayden King all hit doubles. Chase Hearn, Taylor LaBarre, Gavin White, Potter, and Thomas Azlin all contributed singles in the win.

Hearn(1 RBI) went 3 for 3 at the plate while White(2 RBIs) and Massey(1 RBI) both went 2 for 2. LaBarre(1 RBI)went 2 for 3(1 RBI) while Azlin, King(2 RBIs), Johnston(2 RBIs), and Porter each had one hit.

Azlin threw a no-hitter as he struck out four batters and Chad Fuson also threw a no-hitter as he struck out two.

PCA will travel to face Tensas Academy on Friday.

St. Aloysius took a 13-3 loss to Tri-County and Warren Central loss 6-1 to Jackson Prep. Conner Watkins threw five strikeouts for WC.
