Former WC standout Abigail Morgan helped Memphis to a win on Sunday

Former Warren Central High School softball player helped the University of Memphis to a 2-1 win over Tennessee Tech on Sunday.

Morgan, the freshman pitcher, pitched in 3.2 innings where she allowed zero hits and struck out one batter. She also pitched the entire game on Saturday against SIU-Edwardsville where she struck out two batter along with striking out another two against DePaul.

Morgan, who was VDN’s 2023 Softball Player of the Year, now has a total of 15 strikeouts.
