Kendall Smith Crowned 2025 Porter’s Chapel Academy Homecoming Queen

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Kendall Smith was crowned the 2025 Homecoming Queen at Porter’s Chapel Academy during halftime of Friday night’s football game against Franklin Academy.

After the entire Homecoming Court was introduced, Smith’s name was announced as the new queen, drawing cheers from classmates and fans.

“I’m honored,” Smith said. “I’m glad that the football team thinks of me in a special way to vote for me. I was shaking and nervous when they called my name.”

Smith is a three-sport athlete at PCA, competing in cheerleading, basketball and softball. She was crowned by 2024 Homecoming Queen Sophie Masterson. The two share a history at PCA, having cheered together and played on the school’s basketball and softball teams last year.

Smith, the daughter of Jason and DanaKay Smith, was escorted by her father, Jason, during the ceremony.

Her crowning highlighted an evening of school spirit as PCA celebrated homecoming with students, alumni and supporters in attendance.
