St. Aloysius and Vicksburg High roll to Tuesday baseball wins

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — St. Aloysius and Vicksburg High School picked up baseball wins Tuesday night, with the Flashes winning at home and the Gators earning a road victory.

St. Aloysius

St. Aloysius defeated Clinton Christian 15-3 in four innings. The Flashes scored nine runs in the first inning, highlighted by two triples from Keller Bradley and a two-run single by Max Hargrave.

William Roberson added an RBI in the second inning. Bradley delivered again in the fourth with his third triple of the game, driving in three runs. Cohen Coomes also hit a double and drove in a run.

Bradley finished with three hits and five RBIs, while Coomes went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Pierson Smith recorded a double and an RBI. Walt Andrews (one RBI), Sadler Lambiotte, Roberson (one RBI) and Emerson Blackburn each had one hit.

Blackburn struck out five batters.

Vicksburg High

Vicksburg High defeated Provine 21-2 in four innings to secure a district win. The Gators finished with nine hits.

Ashton Harris and Allan Allen each hit two doubles and finished with three hits and five RBIs apiece. Kobe Cartwright hit a double and went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Harrison Fisher had one hit and one RBI, while Fred Knight and Jordan Clay each recorded an RBI.

Cartwright struck out five batters. Abel Gonzalez struck out three and allowed no hits.
