One arrested in Port Gibson burglary
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A Claiborne County man has been arrested after a quick response by deputies to a report of a burglary on Highway 462, according to Sheriff Edward Goods.
In a post on social media, Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods reports that an arrest has been made in connection with a burglary that occurred on April 25, 2026, at a residence located on Highway 462 in Port Gibson, Mississippi.
Following a prompt response and investigation by deputies, Godfrey Joseph was identified as the suspect and taken into custody without incident. The investigation revealed that the suspect unlawfully entered the residence during the early morning hours and caused damage while inside the home.
Mr. Joseph made his initial appearance today before the Honorable Judge David Flowers, where bond was set at $50,000.
