Lusby and Lambiotte named St. Aloysius Athletes of the Year
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — St. Aloysius High School seniors Sadler Lambiotte and Taryn Lusby were named the school’s Male and Female Athletes of the Year during last week’s athletic banquet.
Lusby, a multi-talented athlete, earned honors in soccer, cheer and basketball during her senior year. She received the MVP award for the girls soccer team and was selected to play in the MAIS All-Star Game. In cheer, Lusby won the Caroline Simrall Hood Award and was named an All-American after helping lead St. Aloysius to a state championship.
On the basketball court, Lusby was named team MVP after leading Warren County in scoring this season at 10.7 points per game.
Lambiotte also excelled in multiple sports this year, starring in football, basketball and baseball. The standout quarterback threw for more than 800 yards and earned the football team’s Offensive MVP Award.
In basketball, Lambiotte was named Co-MVP, while also receiving the Defensive MVP Award for baseball.
Both Lusby and Lambiotte will attend the University of Mississippi in the fall.
