Warren Central football cheer squad brings home multiple UCA awards

The Warren Central High School football cheerleading team brought home several awards from the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Camp held this week at Mississippi State University.

Under the direction of head coach Mercedes Buchanan, the Vikings earned top marks throughout the camp, highlighted by receiving blue ribbon honors in the Sideline and Cheer evaluations. The team also earned a gold ribbon for its camp routine while finishing second in both the Camp Routine competition and the Cheer and Dance Routine competition.

In addition to the team awards, nine Warren Central cheerleaders were selected as UCA All-Americans, an honor recognizing outstanding performance, leadership and skill throughout the camp.

The All-American selections were Tatum Sherwin, London King, Ziya Patten, Kauri Sanders, Annie Tucker Hossley, Emma Kate Graham, Sydney Cooley, Samantha Bailey and Makayla Bufkin.
