The St. Aloysius High School football cheerleading squad brought home several honors after attending the UCA Cheer Camp held this week at Mississippi State University in Starkville.

The Flashes, coached by Kirsten Golding, had five cheerleaders earn All-American recognition. Audrey Grace Newman, Stella Owen, Cristan Wood, Madelyn Kavanaugh and Annslee Averett each received the prestigious honor for their performances during camp.

Hendrix Eldridge was presented with the Pin It Forward Award, which recognizes athletes for encouraging and supporting others throughout the camp experience.

The squad also earned a Spirit Stick on the second day of camp and received a blue ribbon during camp evaluations.

The honors cap off a successful week of competition and training as the Flashes prepare for the upcoming football season.

St. Aloysius is scheduled to begin its football season in August, when the cheerleaders will return to the sidelines to support the Flashes on Friday nights.
