Volunteers needed to pack red beans & rice

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Chamber Partnership is looking for volunteers to help pack food for needy families.
Join the event for a fun evening of service as people come together to pack 2,500 bags of red beans and rice—enough to provide 10,000 meals to members of the community.
The chamber needs 100 volunteers to help make it happen, plus $6,500 to cover the cost of supplies.
The food will be distributed through local food pantries—including Storehouse Food Pantry and River City Rescue Mission—to help ensure these meals reach neighbors who need them most.
The event is set for Tuesday, Sept. 22.
