City of Vicksburg updates on cart exchange

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg is nearing completion of the Waste Management cart exchange and is working to ensure remaining concerns are addressed and resolved to our residents’ satisfaction.
There have been reports that some customers were missed during the collection or delivery by Waste Management‘s private contractor. City crews were activated to assist with retrieving the old ones, including those containing waste. City office personnel has documented these reported concerns and forwarded work orders to the appropriate Waste Management Representatives.
If your bin issue remains unresolved—even if you previously reported it—please call 601-801-3729 or email kflagg@vicksburg.org. Contacting us again will help ensure outstanding requests are addressed, and your cart situation is resolved.
When calling or emailing, you should include: your first and last name, a reliable contact telephone number, the service address listed on your account, and reference details that correspond to the list below:
1. Your old cart was removed and you did not receive a new replacement.
2. Your old cart remains, but you received a new cart.
3. You received the incorrect number of new carts.
4. Garbage remains uncollected in your old cart that should be disposed of.
Please communicate descriptive and complete information in order to help City staff coordinate with Waste Management to expedite a resolution. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete the exchange process.
