A Mississippi high school baseball player was killed in a car accident on Friday morning.

A junior baseball player from Mississippi’s Marshall County Academy died in a single-vehicle accident on Friday morning, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Cutter Crass was en route to baseball practice when the accident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. 

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
