Accident with injuries active on 61 South

A victim is still trapped in a vehicle in a ditch after an accident on Highway 61 South. David Day is on the scene.

A family member of the person trapped in the vehicle involved in the wreck said he and that realtive had gone to look at a new vehicle and left separately. The victim’s relative heard about the wreck and returned to the scene. When he got there, he tried to help free the victim from the vehicle.

The incident occurred in the northbound lane at 61 South in Redbone.

First responders are on scene working on the extrication as traffic continues to pass through slowly. The vehicle is chained to the fire truck to keep it from sliding down further into the ditch.
