Alice Marie Steed: 1936-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Alice Marie Steed, a Vicksburg resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, in her home following a brief illness. She was 89. She was a member of the Rock of Ages M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore White and Dorothy Pemberton; her husband, Hamic Steed, Jr.; her son, Hamic Steed III; and her daughter, Gloria Steed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Raymond Steed of Vicksburg; her daughters, Carolyn Raymond of Ontario, CA, and Yolanda James of North Hollywood, CA; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Alice Marie Steed are to be held on Saturday, May 31, in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Reverend Trollars Moore officiating. Interment shall follow in the Green Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, in the funeral home from 5 till 6 p.m.
