Aloysius Junior High Flashettes Shine at UDA Camp

STARKVILLE, Miss. (VDN) — The St. Aloysius Junior High Flashettes brought home top honors after attending the Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp at Mississippi State University. The talented dance team impressed judges and fellow campers alike, earning several awards during the multi-day event.

The Flashettes won first place for their home routine, showcasing their skill, synchronization, and spirit. Their strong performance also earned them a coveted Superior Trophy, recognizing overall excellence in technique and execution.

In addition to team accolades, the Flashettes showed strong individual leadership and discipline, taking home multiple drill down ribbons, which are awarded for outstanding focus and precision in a military-style drill competition. The team also earned the UDA Spirit Stick, a traditional symbol of unity, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.

Six team members were selected as UDA Junior High All-Americans: Blakely Farrell, Raeya Patel, Addy Hardaway, Lynlee McMillin, Lily McLean, and Laney Weeks. This honor is awarded to dancers who demonstrate exceptional talent and leadership throughout the camp.
