Beautiful Table Settings makes Vicksburg a centerpiece

Beautiful Table Settings has come to Vicksburg and set up at the Levee Street Warehouse.
Beautiful Table Settings is a group that is focused on just that. On social media the group has 227,300 members and is very active, averaging 150-200 posts a day.
The idea to bring the event to Vicksburg was the brainchild of Jennifer Coulter. Coulter contacted Harley Caldwell of Duff Green and Cedar Grove who got some folks together including Laura Beth Strickland with Visit Vicksburg. At tonight’s inaugural event over 300 people from all corners of the country paid $130 for a ticket to attend.
BTS has also filled up all the Bed and Breakfast venues in town. “I was booked 6 months ago,” said Elizabeth Nelson with Oak Hall Bed and Breakfast.
27 vendors rented a space to show their wares. They presented everything from very fine china, silver, crystal glassware, and dinner napkins to flower displays for the centerpiece and more.
At the event are Antiques Road Show appraiser Justin Peters and the delightful dinner host, Jim Gatling. Gatling hosts a weekly meal at his home and then writes about it. He is very popular in the BTS group. He spoke at tonight’s event and had the crowd laughing most of the time he was on stage. One person from the crowd asked him how long it takes him to fix his mustache to which he answered, “It starts with a shower.”
Events will be ongoing through Saturday including Antiques Road Show appraiser Justin Peters appraising items. Debbie Peacock with Big Fun Balloons will be putting on a display in the morning at 10:30.
The Levee Street Warehouse was the perfect size for the gathering with one of the organizers saying, “This venue is perfect and they have everything you need.”
It was announced this evening that they’ve already booked the Levee Street Warehouse for next year’s event in January 2025.
