Big Blue Band Earns High Marks at State Evaluations

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School Big Blue Band earned high marks at the State Evaluations on Saturday, wrapping up another strong performance in their marching season.

The band received scores of 1, 2, and 2, earning an overall rating of 2. The Drum Majors and Colorguard both received superior ratings of 1, while the Percussion section earned a 2.

Band staff and supporters praised the students for their dedication and hard work. “We are so proud of our students and all the hard work they’ve put in this season,” the band shared in a Facebook post. They also thanked administrators, parents, and the community for their continued support, adding that their band parents “have helped in more ways we can explain, and we are so, so grateful.”

The Big Blue Band will travel next to Memphis, Tennessee, for their final competition of the season on November 1.
