VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—Warren Central High School recently elected Ana Kayne Bridges as their Student Council President for the upcoming school year. She was officially elected on April 11, 2025, and she will soon be in charge of helping plan activities for Warren Central and getting students involved in events.

“I felt very good when I won because I’ve been in student government for three years and I’ve been planning on becoming Student Council President since my freshman year,” Bridges said.

Although she was recently elected, this isn’t the first time that Bridges has served as Student Council President of her class. She was president her junior and sophomore years where she helped organize jacket drives, food drives, present donations, and many more activities.

Now elected, Bridges mentioned that has plenty of goals for the upcoming school year.

“My main goal is to get the student body involved in things because sometimes they are not aware or have different opinions on things,” she added.

Besides being Student-Council President, Bridges is involved in many other organizations such as basketball, Key Club, Chick-fil-A Club, Future Teachers of America, and President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

As Student Council President, Bridges will work closely with Vice President Sydney Sullivan, Treasurer McKinley Phillips, and Secretary Brooke Steed. Other activities that involve the student council are helping set up prom, homecoming, student volleyball and basketball, movie nights, and many more events.

Bridges will officially take over her now role as the Student-Council President during the next school year in August which will mark her senior year.
