Cadence Bank makes large donation to local pregnancy center

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Cadence Bank donated $50,000 to the Center for Pregnancy Choices (CPC) in Vicksburg, which provides services to approximately 1,100 low-to moderate-income women and families in the area. The donation will help the nonprofit expand its educational and training programs.
Shannon Bagley, executive director of CPC, said the funds donated will be used to create a multi-functional classroom and computer lab. These spaces will allow the organization to offer group classes on topics such as budgeting and financial preparedness, infant CPR, birthing, life skills, and job readiness.
“We are thrilled and grateful for Cadence’s support, which will have a significant impact on Vicksburg and surrounding communities,” Bagley said.
David Cox, president of Cadence Bank in Vicksburg, added that the bank also contributed $1.1 million in February to 16 Mississippi nonprofit organizations focused on food insecurity, transitional housing, and pregnancy resources.
“Cadence Bank is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves,” Cox said. “Supporting local organizations like the Center for Pregnancy Choices helps ensure they can continue their important work.”
