Cherry Street Bridge to be closed Saturday

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — At the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting held Wednesday, Sept. 30, the Board announced the Cherry Street Bridge will be closed Saturday, Oct. 3.
The City of Vicksburg‘s Building and Maintenance Director Eddie Sanders requested the closure so city crews could clean and paint the bridge.
The closure will be between West Pine and Holly Streets where Cherry Street passes over the railroad tracks.
Between the hours of 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. motorists should find an alternative route.
