Early morning fire at Speed Street

VICKSBURG, Miss. – A house fire was reported at 1008 Speed Street in the early morning hours today.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., early Friday morning, the Vicksburg Fire Department were dispatched to respond to a structure fire located at 1008 Speed Street. In spite of the building being completely engulfed in flames, no injuries were reported.

Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered a residence that was fully engulfed in flames, prompting an immediate and coordinated response,” said Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps. “The fire crews executed their duties with both efficiency and effectiveness, ultimately extinguishing the blaze. It is noteworthy that there were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”

The fire is currently under investigation to determine its cause.
