Edward Lynn Goff 1952-2024

Edward Lynn Goff passed away on February 4, 2024, at Merit Health River Regional Hospital.  He was 71.

Lynn was born in Port Gibson, MS on September 18, 1952, the son of Thomas S. Goff and Ethel Landrum Goff.  He worked at LeTourneau for 20 years, V&B International for 12 years and retired from Southwest Mississippi Electric Power Association.

Lynn loved his family, friends, dogs, and cookouts. He loved his garden and the beauty of nature. He was also known as Mudhole because of how much he loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Chester Couch.

He is survived by his spouse of 27 years Mona Goff, daughters Ida Oakes (David) and Jennifer Sanders (Shane), brother Michael Goff (Janis), sisters Linda Couch and Karen Hampton (Phillip), grandchildren Olivia Early (Justin), Alexis Bowers, Christian Oakes and Erin Bowers and great-grandchildren Aizlynn Jones, Micah Jones and Ezra Arthur.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, MS.  The service will be officiated by Bro. Ben Goff. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  Interment will follow in Wintergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Sanders, David Oakes, Shane Arthur, Justin Early, Christian Oakes, and Kevin Cloud.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Jones and Nathan Jones.
