Ethel Mae Williams Yarrington: 1944-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Ethel Mae Williams Yarrington went to be with the Lord on Friday June 13 at her home surrounded by family and friends.  She was 81.  She had worked as a teacher’s aide and was a member of Triumphant Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father John Carson.

She is survived by her son Adrian Yarrington, her daughters Lisa Yarrington, and Valda Yarrington, her brothers Malcom Carson, A. J. Carson, and Cliff Jeffries, her sister Joslyn Ferguson, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.

Funeral services for Ethel Mae Williams Yarrington are to be held on Saturday June 28 at 2 p.m. in the Greater Grove Street M. B. Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Friday June 27 in the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.
