Fifth suspect arrested in a 2023 Port Gibson murder

On Tuesday, the 4th day of June 2024, 35-year-old Courtland Holmes, of Port Gibson, Ms was arrested by Chief Russell Dorsey and Officer Ivory Williams for the murder of Carl McDaniel. Holmes is the fifth suspect to be arrested for McDaniel’s murder that took place January 15, 2023.

Holmes was booked and turned over to Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

The four other suspects arrested are Jamarrious Hamilton, Natasha McDaniel( Carl’s wife), Robert Mays and Justin Bailey.
