YAZOO CITY, Miss. (VDN)St. Aloysius shut out Manchester Academy 47-0 on the road Friday night to improve to 2-1 under head coach Bumper Brogdon. The win put the Flashes back on track after a loss to Tri-County last week.

St. Al struck first when quarterback Sadler Lambiotte connected with Walt Andrews on a 60-yard touchdown pass. From there, the Flashes took control with a strong ground game. Keller Bradley, Robert Lee, Cole Nolan and Garrod Bunch each scored rushing touchdowns. Beau Brogdon added to the rout with a pick-six, while Louis Amborne and Carter Smithhart each converted extra points.

The defense also delivered a flawless performance. Carson Gleese, Bradley and Landon Davis all recorded interceptions. Brogdon and Cam Myers each had a sack, and Mack Connell contributed multiple tackles for loss.

The Flashes will host Clinton Christian Academy next Friday.
