Gators earned their first shutout victory in three years

Vicksburg High School boy’s soccer team earned their first shutout in three years after defeating Riverside 2-0 on Friday.

Cannon Jackson scored the first goal of the night to put the Gators ahead which was followed by a goal from Abel Gonzalez in the second half to seal the victory. Xavier Williams had three saves in the win.

The Gators are still in the beginning stages of rebuilding their program under Head Coach Maurice Gilliam and they will travel to play Columbus on Friday.
