Harvey led VHS to a 61-54 win over Columbus

Vicksburg, Miss.-Zion Harvey showed out on Friday night for Vicksburg High School as they secured a 61-54 district win against Columbus. Harvey ended the night with a career-high of 37 points and five steals as VHS improved to 14-10 and 3-1 in district play under Head Coach Troy Stewart.

Cynia Johnson also scored in double digits as she finished the night with 14 points and she also grabbed eight rebounds. Jordan Grace contributed five points while Carjessa Albert, JaMia Grace, Ny’Keria Watson, and Jada Erwin all scored two points.

Boys:

The VHS boys fell short 76-55 against Columbus. They are now 11-13 and 2-2 in district play. 

The Gators will host Ridgeland on Tuesday night.
