Hernando Point experiences temporary water outage

VICKSBURG, Miss. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Arkabutla Lake has announced a temporary water outage at Hernando Point Recreation Area. The outage is expected to continue through midweek while repairs are made to the water well.
Camping reservations at Hernando Point are temporarily suspended. Campers currently in the area may remain through their reservations but should be aware that potable water is unavailable. All restrooms and shower buildings are also closed until repairs are complete.
Once repairs are finished, Hernando Point will resume reservations and post updates on its website and social media.
