Historic First Win for Lady Flashes Volleyball in Monday’s game
VICKSBURG, MS. – The St. Aloysius High School volleyball team had a historic Monday night earning the program’s first varsity win in a game against Clinton Christian. The program began last year in 2023.
“I’m so excited and so proud of these girls,” Lady Flashes Head Coach Allison McSherry said. “They stayed focused and implemented everything we’ve been working on the past year. We played against a really good team tonight and they put good pressure on us. I’m glad we came out with the win and made history tonight for this program.”
The Lady Flashes won in five sets 25-21,25-6, 14-25, 24-26, 15-4. Camille Jeffers had 12 serves and 11 kills and Lauren Flowers had five aces and five kills. Julia Moberly added four aces while Maucy Stable had two kills and Ellery Connell added one.
Presley Carr pulled in seven aces as well to contribute to the historic first win.
The Middle School won 25-9 and 25-16 while the JV had two 25-8 victories. Carr racked up 17 aces.
The Lady Flashes will host Christ Covenant on September 19.
