Hit-and-Run at Washington and Grove Under Investigation

VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred late Saturday, January 4, at the intersection of Washington and Grove streets.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Washington and Grove streets. According to initial reports, the driver of a gray or light gray truck fled the scene immediately after the crash. No injuries were reported in the incident.

According to Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones, the police are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby cameras to identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
