James Edward Clark, Sr.: 1945-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — James Edward Clark, Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center at the age of 79.  James was born in Louisiana to the late Franklin and Ruth Clark.  He was retired truck driver.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Olan “Frankie” Clark; a daughter, Theresa Lynn Lewis; two brothers, J. W. Clark and Jeffery Clark;  and a sister, Clarice Sanders.

Survivors include his children: James Edward Clark, Jr., Benjamin Lee Clark, Jason Paul Clark, Leslie Michelle Clark, Teresa Lynn Harris, and Chuck Harris; his siblings:  Mary Evelyn Parker, Frances Harris, Jerry Clark, Patricia Clark, Phillip Clark, Jean West, Billy Clark, and Donna Clark; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home at 5000 Indiana Avenue with Rev. Bill Talbert officiating.  Visitation will be from1 PM until the hour of service.  Interment will be private.  Pallbearers will be Ronny Braswell, Dakota West, Phillip “Butch” Clark, Jr., Allen Jones, Curt Harris, and Danny Lewis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Lewis, Mathew Clark, Tyler McDaniel, Charlie Wiggley, JR Clark, and Tommy Clark.
