Jefferson County’s football season ended on Friday night
Jefferson County High School’s football season came to an end last night after a 36-14 loss to Noxubee County in the South State Championship.
Quarterback Jabari Watson threw a 10-yard touchdown to Royale Shelvy and a 50-yard score to Luke Bolin in the loss.
The Tigers finished with a 9-4 record under Head Coach Roderick Holmes and played for the South State Championship for the first time in the program’s history. JC also won their second consecutive district title and secured wins over schools like Port Gibson, Wingfield and Wesson.
The Tigers will now go into the offseason and prepare for the 2024 season.
