Jonah Artman now holds the Warren County record in Field Goals

Published

on

Jonah Artman is now officially in the Warren County record books as he now holds the record for the most field goals.

In the 19-7 win over Neshoba Central, Artman knocked down two field goals to mark the 24th of his varsity career. He broke Sam Thigpen’s record of 23 field goals which was set back in 1985.

Over the years, Artman has dominated in the kicking game. A few months ago he had an impressive performance at the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp where he placed 12th overall in field goals and all of his kickoffs were touchbacks besides two of them. He also made 26 out of 30 field goals and his longest was 57 yards.

Last year Artman was selected to play in the Magnolia Sports Association Sophomore All-Star Bowl Game and he was also named a MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore All-American First Team.

Artman also has a 4.5-star rating.
