Lady Flashes opened their season with a shutout victory over Cathedral

St. Aloysius girls’ soccer team opened their season with a 2-0 shutout over Cathedral on Monday night.

The Lady Flashes got their first goal about 25 minutes into the game when Frances Ferrell booted a nice into the net. Later on in the win, seventh grader Riley Anne Smithhart got the second goal to seal the win. 

Taryn Lusby was credited with having great defense in the victory and Sarah Smith grabbed three saves to keep Cathedral scoreless. 

The Lady Flashes will travel to play Manchester Academy on Wednesday.
