LeBlanc steps down as Millsaps Women’s Basketball Coach, shifts to full-time Athletic Director role

JACKSON, Miss. (VDN) — Millsaps College athletic director Justin LeBlanc will step down as head women’s basketball coach to assume his full-time administrative role on Monday.
LeBlanc was named athletic director on Jan. 1, 2025. A national search for the next Millsaps women’s basketball head coach will begin immediately.
He was recently named to the 2024-25 Southern Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year, earning conference coach of the year honors for the second straight season and fourth time overall. He also led the Majors to consecutive SAA regular-season titles, finishing 22-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play.
On Nov. 30, 2024, LeBlanc earned his 130th victory, making him the winningest coach in program history. Over nine seasons, he amassed a 146-83 record at Millsaps.
LeBlanc was named Region 6 Coach of the Year after guiding the Majors through a historic 2023-24 season. Millsaps swept the SAA regular-season and tournament titles, advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 1996. The team secured a program-record 24 wins and posted a perfect 16-0 home record, the first undefeated home slate since 2013-14. The Majors also won a program-best 12 conference games that season.
While leading Millsaps to new heights, LeBlanc served as associate athletic director in 2023 and 2024.
LeBlanc began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Millsaps men’s basketball team before taking over as women’s basketball head coach at Centenary College in 2015-16.
A 2006 Millsaps graduate and former men’s basketball player, LeBlanc earned a business administration degree with a minor in French. He completed a master’s in sports administration at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011.
LeBlanc will now oversee Millsaps College’s 18 NCAA Division III athletic programs, bringing experience as an administrator, head coach and former student-athlete.
