A lineman working for an electrical contractor was electrocuted while working a bucket truck 25 feet in the air.

Radio traffic said the power entered his left elbow and exited his right side. The man was ambulatory and talking to first responders when Fire Medic 30 arrived. He walked to the ambulance under his own power. He was transported to a Jackson hospital for his burns.

Fire Boss Jerry Briggs was the first person to respond. He was traveling west on I-20 and was able to exit at Bovina almost immediately after the call came out. Several units, including Rescue, were dispatched to the scene.

EMA-7, Jerry Davidson, and WC-31, Daniel Thomas, also responded to the call.
