Luke Bond commits to East Mississippi Community College
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Luke Bond, a standout soccer player at Warren Central High School, has committed to East Mississippi Community College. The announcement was made over the weekend through EMCC’s official Instagram page, where the program shared its enthusiasm about adding Bond to the Lions’ future roster.
Bond, a senior, has been a key contributor under Head Coach Greg Head throughout his high school career. Over the past two seasons, he helped guide the Vikings to back-to-back North State title game appearances while also contributing to multiple district championships. His consistent play and leadership have made him one of the program’s most reliable athletes.
As a junior, Bond recorded 15 goals and 13 assists, showcasing his ability to score and create opportunities for his teammates. During his sophomore year, he added eight goals and earned All-District and All-County honors in both his sophomore and junior seasons, solidifying his reputation as one of the region’s top players.
Bond is now competing in his senior campaign, which kicked off just a few weeks ago. With his college plans secured, he is expected to remain a major factor for the Vikings as they push through the 2024–25 season.
VDN will catch up with Bond during his official signing day to provide additional coverage.
