Parker was represented by defense attorney Jerry Campbell. The state was represented by Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland.

Parker was indicted in August 2025. Authorities said that in 2024 he was found at a Shell gas station in a stolen vehicle. When approached by law enforcement, Parker admitted he had driven the vehicle from Fayette to Vicksburg.

Parker still faces a child molestation charge and a charge of possession of methamphetamine. In November 2025, he was accused of luring a child with candy into his home and allegedly fondling her.
