Mayfield sworn in as Ward One Alderman

In a ceremony yesterday at the Ardis Williams Auditorium, newly elected North Ward Alderman Thomas “TJ” Mayfield was sworn in as the new Alderman.

Judge Angela Carpenter swore in the new alderman who took the seat left vacant when his father passed away from pancreatic cancer earlier this year. Mayfield won a special election and the runoff in a convincing way.
