Missing Walthall County Man Found Dead In Woods

According to WLBT, a man who went missing from Walthall County was found dead in the woods.

30-year-old Marty Martin went missing on November 18th around 3 p.m. near his home on Mississippi Highway 27 South.

Saturday morning, WLBT reports that the Walthall County Sheriff’s Office, along with a Brandon K-9 search team went out looking for him.

A K-9 made a positive alert in a “densely wooded tract of land” and the search team found Martin, who was deceased.

The Sheriff’s Department said that no foul play is suspected.

A thorough investigation is being conducted by the Walthall County County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, and the Walthall County Coroner’s Office.
