Missy Gators announce 2025-2026 softball roster

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—After a strong 2024-2025 campaign that saw the Missy Gators reach the first round of the playoffs, Vicksburg High School softball is reloading for another run. Head Coach Briana Knox, who was named Vicksburg Daily News Coach of the Year last season, returns to lead a roster packed with fresh talent.

With a blend of young athletes from grades 7 through 12, the 2025-2026 Missy Gators feature a wide range of experience and potential. Coach Knox, known for her leadership and player development, will aim to build on last year’s success and push deeper into postseason play.

Among the newcomers and returners are seniors Taylor Howard and Shandrea Lockridge, who bring valuable leadership to a team with several up-and-coming underclassmen. Standouts from the junior class include Harmony Harris, while sophomore Jakayla Hampton looks to continue her development.

The freshman class is stacked with energy and potential, including Morgan Atkinson, Makayla Calvin, Madisyn Kimble, Camden McGloster, and Lauren Young.
