The Lady Bulldogs got the first two runs of the night as they went up 2-0. After a double from Lili Kistler and a steal from Trinity McGloster, the Missy Gators earned their first run. Harmony Harris smashed a hit which led to Kistler getting to home plate to tie the game at 2-2. Shandrea Lockridge got the next hit that gave VHS a 3-2 lead at the end of the first inning.

A few errors by the Missy Gators forced Riverside to take a 5-3 lead in the top of the second. As VHS went up to bat, rising eighth grader Madisyn Kimble hit an inside-the-park home run to tie the game at 5-5. MaKynzie Dunmore and McGloster both got hits in the second inning.

Riverside only earned one run in the third as they went up 6-5 for a short time. Camden McGloster and Harmony Harris both got hits to get on base shortly before Kistler hit an RBI to tie the game at 6-6. Harris earned a steal at home and Dunmore also hit an RBI to put VHS up 8-6.

The Lady Bulldogs didn’t let that discourage them as they picked up three more runs in the fourth to take the 9-8 lead. Dunmore stepped up and got another hit just shortly before the bases were full. After a batter was hit by a pitch, the score was eventually tied at nine just before Trinity got the steal at home to win the game.
