Missy Gators finished as runner-ups at North State; Henderson and Vample finished in first place
Vicksburg High School girls’ track team finished as North State runner-ups on Saturday after bringing in 103 points.
Shaniyah Walker finished the 400m in first place(58.10) while Kennedy Williams came out on top in the discus(89-03). Rodrianna Hall finished first in the long jump(17’8.50) and third in the triple jump. Zion Knox brought home the blue ribbon in the triple jump(36’7) and second place in the long jump.
The 4x200m relay came in first place(1:46.07) which consisted of Aubrey Turner, To’Nia Taylor, Amiyah Hall, Shaniyah Walker. The 4×400 also finished first with a time of 4:19.40(Terri Boyd, Keekee Curry
McKenzie Edmond and Shaniyah Walker.
Boys:
Tyler Henderson leaped 43’9.50 for first place in the triple jump while also finishing second in the 100m(11.23). Koury Vample(39.00) finished first in the 300m hurdle while Jayden Woods and Shaun Archer Jr. came in third and fourth place in discus. KJ Hill also came in fourth in the shot put.
The State Meet will be held next week in Pearl.
