Missy Gators picked up a district win on Tuesday

Vicksburg High School volleyball team won their first district game of the year on Tuesday after defeating Columbus.

The Missy Gators won in three sets(25-23, 25-15, 25-11) where MaKynzie Dunmore, Jamia and Jordan Grace, and Lili Kistler all had four digs. Jada Erwin added three digs while Amari Johnson grabbed five digs, and Kennedy Mullins with 8 digs. Alexis Smothers, Jamia Stewart, Teagan Stewart, Dallas West all made big plays to contribute to the win. 

The Junior Varsity team also won in two sets (25-15 & 25-8) as Zipporah Drake and Teagan Stewart both had two digs. Kenley Henderson and Jermaria Wright both had one dig while Jamiya Stewart, Zaria Jones, and Jakayla Hampton assisted with the win.

VHS will travel across town to play Warren Central on Thursday.
