Seniors Maddox Lynch and Eric Collins Jr. are projected to dominate this season for Warren Central High School. The Tight End/Running Back duo both have plenty of varsity experience as they are entering their final year.

Collins:

Collins was WC’s lead rusher from the 2023 season. In his first year starting on varsity, Collins tallied 790 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, and 201 receiving yards.

2023 was a good year for Collins but he’s now confident that 2024 will be better for him and his team.

“We’re ready for this season and I know we’ll take it all this year,” Collins said.

Collins testified that running the ball and pleasing the fans is what keeps him humble. With only a few months left as a high school player, Collins has another chance to that he has what it takes to lead the rushing game at WC.

As of now, E.J. sits with an offer from Alabama State University but he is expecting to have many more soon.

Lynch:

Maddox Lynch has played many roles as a Viking over the last few years, primarily as the starting tight end. He quickly became an All-State honoree last season as he finished with 27 receptions, 346 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown, and three rushing touchdowns. He even took some snaps at quarterback to help WC secure some key wins.

Last year was magical, but Lynch is ready for the future.

“We’ve been putting in a lot of hard work and grinding all summer but a state championship is the goal for every year.,” Lynch said.

Lynch has shown his true athleticism on the football field by grabbing some amazing catches and opening up a pathway for the ball carrier. He now has nearly 10 scholarship offers which include Mississippi Valley State, East Central CC, Co-Lin, and Southeast Missouri.

Both Collins and Lynch are led by Head Coach Josh Morgan.
