Cynia Johnson Received Her First Collegiate Scholarship Offer

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Vicksburg High School girls’ basketball player Cynia Johnson has received her first official scholarship offer. Johnson announced on Wednesday that Mississippi Delta Community College has offered her an athletic scholarship.

Over the last few years, Johnson has made an impact on the Missy Gators’ program where she has helped VHS to the playoffs in each of her varsity years. She had a breakout performance last season against Yazoo City when she scored 20 points. After averaging 10 points and nine rebounds per game last season, Jonson was selected to play in the North/South All-Star Game.

Cynia is under the leadership of VHS Head Coach Troy Stewart, and her final season will begin in November.
