Mobile home fire

Late on Friday night, a fire destroyed an abandoned single-wide manufactured mobile home located in the 200 block of Buford Drive.

Jeff Riggs, the spokesperson for the Warren County Fire Service, reported that around 10 PM on Friday night, a 911 call was received regarding a mobile home fire in the 200 block of Buford Drive. E911 dispatch dispatched units from fire districts 3 and 2 to the scene. The first unit to arrive at the scene noted that the
mobile home was 50% engulfed in flames with heavy smoke billowing. By the time the first engine arrived, the fire had spread rapidly, fully engulfing the home. Despite the firefighters’ rapid response in extinguishing the
flames, the mobile home was completely destroyed.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the home was unoccupied and abandoned, with no
contents inside. Furthermore, the home had no utilities connected to it. Currently, the fire is under investigation to determine its cause.
