Ocie Brown III named Offensive MVP in the MSA All-Star Game
PORT GIBSON, Miss. (VDN) — Ocie Brown III, a Port Gibson native, was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the Magnolia Sports Association All-Star Football Game following a standout performance that helped lead Team Elite to a 20-3 victory last month.
Brown played a pivotal role in the win, showcasing his versatility and leadership at the quarterback position. In the All-Star Game, he threw a 50-yard touchdown pass, rushed for a 5-yard score and added a successful two-point conversion on the ground. His ability to make plays both through the air and on the run proved to be a difference-maker throughout the contest.
Brown’s success in the All-Star Game builds on an impressive middle school career at Port Gibson Middle School. As the starting quarterback for the Titans, he guided the program to a Little Six Championship appearance. One of his most memorable performances came on homecoming night, when he accounted for five total touchdowns, rushing for four scores and throwing for another.
At Port Gibson Middle School, Brown played under head coach Jadice Moore, who also served as a coach in the All-Star Game alongside Coach Tyler Doss. Team Elite was led by head coach Stacy Murphy. Brown’s All-Star recognition highlights his development as a young athlete and reflects the strong foundation built during his time with the Titans.
