Vicksburg native Martin Trey Brown set to face Bobby Taylor in Bare-Knuckle fight
BILOXI, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Martin Trey Brown is set to return to the bare-knuckle ring when he faces Bobby Taylor on Jan. 9, 2026, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi.
The bout was officially announced earlier this month through social media. Brown and Taylor will meet in a super middleweight matchup that will serve as the co-main event for the inaugural Bally’s Fight Night.
“The co-main at the inaugural Bally’s Fight Night is a matchup of two of North America’s most battle-tested bare-knuckle fighters as Martin Brown takes on Bobby Taylor in a super middleweight bout on Jan. 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi,” the post stated.
The matchup marks a rematch between the two fighters. In 2021, Brown defeated Taylor in a five-round bare-knuckle contest, earning a unanimous decision victory.
Brown enters the fight riding strong momentum in the boxing world. In October, he captured the World National Middleweight Boxing Championship after defeating Manny Woods. Brown remains undefeated as a professional boxer with an 8-0 record and owns a 4-2 record in bare-knuckle competition.
Taylor brings a 6-3 bare-knuckle record into the bout.
