One charged for discharging a weapon in the city

A person was arrested for discharging a firearm in the city limits.

On Thursday, December 21, 2023, a disturbance at a residence on Meadows Street escalated into shots being fired. According to Deputy Chief Mike Bryant, the call occurred at 8:51 p.m. on the 21st.

Chief Bryant has not named the individual but did report that in addition to being charged with discharging a weapon, they also had other misdemeanor charges.
