One injured in yet another accident at Warrenton and 61 South

A two-vehicle collision at Warrenton and 61 South has sent one person to the hospital.

A dark-colored Ford Mustang and a white sedan collided with each other at the intersection of 61 South and Warrenton Road. The Mustang was turning north onto Warrenton when it collided with the white sedan, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Mustang was transported via Fire Medic 80. The driver of the white sedan left the scene on foot.

This intersection has had numerous accidents over the years including this one, and  this one. The design of the intersection is such that the vehicle wanting to turn north on Warrenton from 61 has a blind spot blocking the view of a southbound vehicle.

Ladder 15 responded to the scene along with Sheriff’s deputies who assisted the VPD in directing traffic safely through the area.
